Becoming a member of the Oakland Historical Society goes a long way to supporting the efforts to preserve Oakland's history. Member dues help in events the Society holds, promoting awareness of the historic value of sites like the Van Allen Site, and recruiting other members, sponsors and volunteers.  There are various membership tiers:

Individual: $10.00 - this tier is for an individual, current adult resident of Oakland
Family: $15.00 - this tier is for resident families of Oakland
Student: $5.00 - this tier is for resident students 13-18 years of age
Friends of OHS: $20.00 - this tier is for former residents of Oakland who wish to support the efforts to preserve the history of Oakland
Business Sponsors: $100.00 - this tier is for local businesses who want to support OHS.  Business names and locations will be listed on the website as a sponsor!

Applying for membership is simple - you can either submit this online form (online donations coming soon!) and send a check to OHS, or download the form and mail it with your check to:
